Our family has been producing wine with passion and commitment for over 50 years. The founder, Andrea Paolo Comis, started the business in 1966, even before the Consortium Tutela Vini del Collio Consortium was established in 1968. Since then, from generation to generation, the production of wine follows traditional logics and ancient wisdom combined with the use of today’s modern technologies. The story tells of the ancient residence that still hosts the business, and that dates back to 1800, was the birthplace and long residence of a famous Friulian poet, Pietro Zorutti, known for having redeemed the Friulian dialect, making it spread out from the countryside so that it could become cultural proof in Italy and in the world. In his honour and memory, Andrea Paolo Comis decided to call the family winery “Zorutti”.
