Cabernet Franc accounts for 4% of the total production; it has a rather intense ruby colour and is pleasant, herbaceous and characteristic on the nose. It is dry, herbaceous, round and harmonious on the palate in full respect of its characteristics and representation of the cultivation territory.

2% of the bottles produced in the Collio area contain this wine, of French origin, which has since adapted to the hills of Gorizia. Its ruby red colour has garnet reflections, while it is intense, characteristic and pleasant on the nose. It is round, dry and harmonious on the palate.

The red bled of the Collio, produced in a very small percentage, is paired with its sister wine, the Collio Bianco in what becomes a territorial expression. The ruby red colour sometimes has garnet reflections, and it is slightly herbaceous and winey on the nose. Its full, dry and harmonious body is expressed on the palate with the usual elegance of the Collio wines.

6% of the Merlot from the Collio area contains this vine of French origin, which has perfectly adapted to the characteristics of the ponca of the Collio of Gorizia. Its ruby red colour is not particularly intense, and it is characteristic, pleasant and sometimes with a grassy background on the nose and to complete the characteristics of the Collio Merlot, it is dry, sapid and slightly bitter on the palate.

The Collio’s Pinot Nero has very few and particular expressions, which can be particularly characteristic. Its colour is of a more or less intense ruby red; characteristic and intense on the nose and dry, pleasant and velvety on the palate. Pinot Nero accounts for only 1% of the total production.
